Two years later, and a background change
Long time!
The last time I published here, I was writing for entrepreneurs building and growing their businesses, looking for ways to build motivation and keep the momentum going. Good vibes from Hong Kong where I then lived, real challenges from wherever my clients were, content I enjoyed writing!
But at some point I missed a direction and sort of lost track.
Until now!
My own work has shifted since then, and so has the angle I want to write from.
I now spend a lot more time inside board rooms, working with the leadership teams of more established companies, and focusing on the one thing that quietly determines everything else: whether the decision layer delivers as it should.
The point isn’t whether the strategy is smart or whether the people are right, wrong or talented. It really is about whether the way decisions happen: who decides what, at what level, with what clarity, and whether things actually get built for the company is going. Which is a topic of its own, actually.
Most of the time, however, execution and operations create major blind spots and the people inside the board room are the last ones to realize because they all see things from the same angle.
That’s what this Substack is about now.
So, every Saturday morning, I’ll send you one read. I’ll share a challenge I’ve observed, a story my team went through, a blind spot I’ve seen from the inside, a dynamic that looked like a people problem but was actually a structure problem.
Just what I see from where I sit and insights you’ll be able to leverage too.
If you’re a board member, a founding partner, or an HR director who already knows something is off but hasn’t found the right words for it yet, this is you I’m talking to.
If you’re not interested in this shift, no hard feelings. The unsubscribe button is right below.
See you next Saturday!
